I returned home from holiday yesterday and decided to finish off these two figures before picking up on the Russian Napoleonic cavalry. The painting style is a bit of a retro experiment, with a lot less black showing through-it does look rather neat in the flesh but I am not too sure it photographs well.
The figures are original 1980's Pax Britannica figures, now available from DPC in the US. The figures were sculpted by the late Steve Hezzlewood and really are at the top end of the "anatomically correct" style of figures. The detail is there but it is very fine. I had large numbers of the ACW figures because they matched the plastics so well. Lovely!
